how to manage your time if you just started building your dream life

Time is the most valuable thing in our lives .having our times used well that will pay off a lot later. how to manage it and use it well is fundamental to be successful and get what you want. when you start to create your life productivity it will come up because you can’t live your life waiting for things to happens while watching tv and scrolling through Instagram. life doesn’t happen to you, you happen to life, so, you need to start taking control of the thing that in your grasp right now and other things that outside of your control, knowledge will fall into place.

I shared in the previous post easy and simple techniques you can you use to help you get things done when you at the beginning of the journey of creating your dream life.

time management techniques

8-be specific about how much certain task will take: don’t estimate too little you know that it won’t work nor very high that makes you take a lot of time for a specific task according to Parkinson’s’ law which state that “work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion”

So if you estimated a time to finish writing an essay is 3 hours it will take you 3 hours and if you estimated the time it will take you to write the essay is 1 hour it will take just that

9-delegate: this word you hear a lot when starting to get into productivity but when I used to think about it i don’t have a business or work so I concluded that it does not fit for me but I came to realize that you can apply it to variety of life situation for example house chores if you live in a house with anyone else you can spread the chores between all of you instead of doing it all by yourself.

10-review and make changes: what you did through the week, what did you got done what not, why you did or did not do a task, how you going to improve to be able to get things done according to your plans and goals.

11-write your task starting with a verb: when you are writing the items on your to-do list don’t just write car, grocery, blog post instead write them using a verb eg. wash the car, buy grocery, write a blog post. This will make the more comprehensive in your brain and simple and specific instead of vague.

12-go easy: this is not a technique but a principle of thinking. when you start to manage your time don’t try to do it all at once use one or two and be consistent on doing it then add another.it will add up to form a routine that fit for you that help you achieve your goals.

always remember you’re free to change and adapt these techniques to your liking and the way you live not to the ideal situation or how others using it.

Peace and love
