How Reading Fiction Helped Me And How It Can Help You

How reading fiction helped me and how it can help you

All the credits are given when it comes to learning and to all the non-fiction books.

fiction can do you great, if you had the right book it can change your life and change your perspective after reading so many fiction books some are just for fun nothing more some just trashy for pleasure  but some hold great lessons that it can be applied to life

Reading a fiction book it helps me relax and wonder in an imaginative world with characters that I get to know, love, care about laugh when they do something funny and be sad or even cry if something goes wrong with.you feel the transportation happens when you try to leave the book but it calls you-you feel your mind not able to focus on what around you and just want to get back to that world of wonder, imagination and dreams with its great scenes and situations and storyline

I have been sucked by stories for days I kept reading the series until I finished all the books in the series.

for productivity and creating your dream life I don’t recommend it be more intentional by having a specific time and days to read  don’t let consume for days unless this is your free, rest time then do as you want.

How reading fiction helped me and how it can help you

It kept me company when I felt so alone and sad. (it also has some type of distraction from reality) it let me escape my pain by being in another world where I was spectator a friend . to be honest reading much more better than watching tv I still watch it but that my preference as of late I watched more than I read which sad

It improved my imagination and made me know that I can imaginebecause in one period of my life I thought I wasn’t able to imagine because of my feelings at that time and how I was in so much self-loath, fear and confusion and pain.

It ignites the love of reading in me. Without fiction, I would have been intimidated to pick up non-fiction books. Non fiction books seemed great for the value it offers but when i used to look at them this what was going in my mind”how i am going to grasp all that in there ,how to use it,what if I didn’t get what it said, or it’s too long and daunting to start more than just a few pages ” it was also the fear of not being able to remember this way huge block in my learning curve that kept me scared of books or any reading material especially except for school which was mandatory

It taught me lessons on not to give up. by seeing how the character go after their goal and try to achieve it

It taught me to understand other people by being in their shoes. I learned it through being in the characters heads and see how you need not go into judging and even if you do always assume the best

It taught me to how beautiful to dream and fantasize not about the characters and their world but about our world too. To see my impossible dreams as possible even if I don’t have the evidence on them, it starts by faith then the way starts to appears. Everything conspires to help me

It taught me how to challenge myself.  that happens when I did some reading challenges like reading 3 books in a week this was so cool and a great accomplishment that I wasn’t realized until recently

It helped me build my vocabulary and practice my reading. English is not my first language

It helped me transition into reading nonfiction books as of late which essential in my journey to create my dream life and fulfil and find my purpose

Do you agree? how reading helped you? Do you read fiction? did you learn anything from it and what?

Peace and love
