How To Start A Blog The Easy Way part2 Mindset
How To Start Your Blog The Easy Way
In this article, I discuss the mindsets that you need to have & develop in order to succeed in growing your blog & business
Many of these types of posts out there don’t focus on the mindset side which is crucial to make your blog successful, successful biz
( I shared how to set your blog in this post you can refer to it later)
If you don’t have a mindset that is going to help you persevere there’s a huge chance you’ll quit, abandon ship
because at the beginning you don’t have readers, anyone reading and will take a while before you have readers
I started my blog back in 2018 and what kept me going is what I am about to share with you
Mindsets to have to help you make it a successful blog
1-persistence, perseverance
In the beginning, you won’t have readers/audience that
may lead you to feel disheartened or you might think that it doesn’t matter
if you show up or not because no one there. if a month went on without traction you may feel nothing is working
( I’m sharing here what I’ve been through) but many of these thoughts aren’t true because you just started.
what helped me is that I believed that if I persist I’ll eventually get there no matter what
Developing this skill will lead you to the success you want.
You need to treat this as business, as a serious thing or you won’t succeed in it. This was the case for ME
2-believe in yourself, believe you can reach your goal, trust yourself to do what it takes to make it happen
These two are essential when it comes to building or achieving any goal if you don’t believe in yourself to make it.
if you don’t believe it’s working you won’t keep going you’ll hold yourself back because you don’t believe.
want to learn more about how can you develop it read this and this
Self-trust is going to help you show up. the more you build this trust with yourself you’ll keep showing up,
following your schedule, keeping promises to yourself
if you want to start developing self- trust start by keeping small& easy promises to yourself
,for example, posting once on social media, drinking 1L of water while you work…etc.
it doesn’t need to be about your blog or business at the beginning
because you’re just building that identity and trust so, you can do it any area .
because it’s about building the foundation of self trust. it will translate in business naturally as you go
3-focus on effort not results
On the day to day/ on the weekly basis, I focused on my effort because that’s what I can control but the number
s(number of visitors, leads, shares..etc) I can’t control.
I can do the work that leads to the number but I still can’t control it
so, focusing on your effort will help you detach from the results, build your belief while taking action
4-everything is working as it should be right now
Things will seem that they’re not moving. There’s no progress that’s at the beginning.
having this mindset will help you keep going knowing what you’re experiencing is normal
and part of the journey of growing your blog & business
5-producing more content consistently is what matters more
for the reason that you’ll get better the more you create content
so, instead of takin a long time to produce a piece of content/articles.
let be what is right now and focus on being consistent with publishing
while believing that you’ll get better the more you exercise your writing muscle, you’ll build the skill & develop your voice
this mindset to help not to get stuck in perfectionism,
producing the perfect article every time you sit to write a post but to get it done as good
knowing that good will become great with time & practice
5-experiment and student attitude
When it comes to any side of the business it’s all about experimenting & having the attitude of a student who is there to learn.
Whether when in Marketing, writing …etc they’ll require that from you as if you don’t have this mindset you’ll feel frustrated,
micro-quit, compare yourself but when you know that you’re learning.
it’s trial & error that will help you show up,
try different things, experiment while not make it means something about you

Mental tools to help you when you’re having troubles, bad times, feel negative and to build your blog/business
As you go on the journey of building your blog, business, presence online
You’ll face good and bad times.
you’ll have joyful and hurtful moments.
As someone who has been there & experience all emotions while building my blog & business
that’s part of growth
life is 50/50 you don’t need to feel positive all the time or negative all the time that’s something I learned from Brooke Castillo at the life school
which is tremendous knowing you don’t need to be positive all the time is freeing the same way not having to feel negative all the time
I’d like to offer you tools that you can use whenever you feel down or any kind of negative feelings especially
( you can use them when you feel good)
Journaling
The greatest tool of all that you can use any time without help from anyone.
Take a piece of paper & pen and start writing about what you’re feeling right now and why you feel that way.
getting things on paper that act alone can be a huge relief.
you can use journaling prompts to help you depending on what you’re facing at the moment
Affirmations
These are thoughts that you read, listen to daily or when you need them to change how you feel at a certain moment
or to change your programming(what you believe) which depends on how many times you use it or the state you are in
If you want to learn more about how to use it, how to create ones that aren’t fluffy or too positive read this article
Coaching
If you’ve never tried getting coached I’d recommend you to do so, a coach listens to you without judgement;
a coach can offer you a different perspective, help you see what you don’t / can’t see.

Things to consider After Setting Your Blog
1-having a community
As I said building your blog/business is a lonely thing if you don’t have people around you’ll feel lonely.
also, having people who make your goal feels normal whether in real life or through the internet is important to achieve your goal and make the road less lonely since
normalizing is what make your mind believe it’s possible which will then lead you to achieve your goal
2-connecting with like-minded people
This point is related to the previous one as connecting with people who are on the same journey as you will make you feel you’re not alone.
You have people you can talk to who understand you.
Who you can make friends with. who you can ask for help.
you can find them on the internet and Facebook groups are a great place to start finding such people
3-learn from 1-2 people about what you want to learn about now (blogging, business)
There’re a lot of people who teach marketing, personal branding…
the thing is that is amazing but to you, it may lead you to overwhelm, confusion on what to apply and who to listen to
and if you try to do everything everyone says to do
it will feel a lot which leads you to not do anything, do some things while you procrastinate
which may lead you to feel guilty for not doing everything (you’ll feel like you’re missing out) when in reality that’s truly too much to follow & do
( that what happened to me and I don’t want it to happen to you)
different people have different views on what’s working or what’s not,
what you should do or shouldn’t do..etc whether in marketing, building your business..etc
So, I suggest to you to
choose 1-2 people in the area you need help with now and only listen to them and do what they say for at least 3 months before jumping to someone else/ learning from someone else
While you give what they say 100% effort, okay?!

Things To Focus On At The Beginning & Beyond
1-focus on your effort
As I said before this is a great mindset to develop.
the more you work on it the more you’d be in the growth mindset which will help you persevere.
do the work that you need to do to achieve your goal(s)
2-improving your writing skills by practice
Write and when you’re writing don’t think if it’s good or not, stop judging your writing.
focus on improving each blog post you write no matter what the previous one look like.
“I get better at writing the more I do it”
it’s a thought that helped me write because my writing was so bad but it became better
because I kept thinking of making the next blog post better and the next..
3-building your email list
As I said in part 1 an email list is important
to build a relationship with your readers/audience, connect with them
eventually, sell to them
4-building your posts treasury
at the begining focus on putting more blog posts out there .
so, can people like your post stick around if they find something they like.
I don’t mean to write 10 blog post before you start publishing but to focus on writing more posts at the beginning
5-promoting your blog on Pinterest & social media
I highly recommend Pinterest for marketing your blog because it’s a great resource.
choose 1 social media platform to promote your blog & yourself as business
Attitudes & Characteristics To Assist You while Building Your Blog/Business
1- responsibility
Taking full responsibility to build your business, your blog,
to show up and put in the work to MAKE IT HAPPEN NO MATTER WHAT you think or feel or what happens in reality.
it’s the difference with the people who get there or not
2- patience
we’re impatient. I fully admit that.
I never really was patient & still but working on it
you don’t want to be patient you want to reach your goal now
the truth is that you won’t reach it now if you still not ready for it, if you still developing your stamina and capacity to have it.
practically you can’t expect to have a lot of people following you, reading your stuff..etc from day one
you need to show up, put in the work when no one is there and
when you start having few people to appreciate them instead of dissing them because the number is small
when you start having few people reading your blog or coming to your blog your brain will start focusing on the next number,
the bigger number without enjoying what you have or appreciate it
Developing your patience will lead to being more consistent and grounded at the moment & what you have
4-apperciation
following what I said above. appreciating where you’re now.
in terms of numbers, whether it’s your goal or not while knowing that is what you need & meant for you at the moment.
then you can & will get to the next level
5-commitment to growth
this is a huge characteristic/attitude is so important & crucial to growing your blog/business.
as much I wasn’t in the past willing to admit this
however, your personal growth will contribute to your business growth & make it happen if you believed that of course
5-being decisive
making decisions is a huge part of build a blog/business don’t postpone developing this skill
because no one will make your decisions for you especially in your business unlike when you work for someone else.
if you’re usually indecisive start by making small decisions in your life,
for example, choosing what to eat for dinner don’t give this task to someone else
or when someone asks you what do you want don’t respond I don’t know > make up your mind & give them an answer.
make a list of decisions you need to make & start with the easiest one for you
think of small ways to develop it First
6- faith toward what‘s happening and will happen
having a positive attitude toward the future, the future of your blog/business will keep you going. if you knew that you can’t fail.
if you knew that your success is done deal there’s no doubt about what would you do right now?
you’ll keep going and put in the work ,right!?
having this attitude/mindset toward the further will propel you forward in the present
7-differciaten between feelings &facts
facts are neutral. they don’t hold emotional weight unlike thoughts they hold emotional weight.
they’ll make you feel certain way if you think a certain way about something you’ll feel a certain way about it keeping in mind that the situation is neutral
example:
fact/situation: there’s no readers/ visitors to your website yet
thought: I must have doing something wrong, my writing is bad,
feeling: disheartened, disappointed
knowing that facts are facts they don’t affect you emotionally inless you think a thought that procuces a certain feeling
so, learn to differentiate between facts & feeling will serve you,
will help you see what truly happening from what are you thinking
so, you can focus on the facts & work on making a practical plan to reach your goal
