Overcome Excuses For Life
The last time I thought of excuse is a minute ago For what for taking a longer nap or yesterday when I wasn’t feeling it and I ate pizza rather than cooking my food, when I wanted to read a book I was excited about but I said to myself to start reading it next week because I am tired and has a lot of work to do when deep down the reason was I was intimidated by the size. I made an excuse to not read it.
when I was about writing my goals and plan I was super excited to do so but when I actually got into doing it I held the pen in my hand then an urge to eat then checking my phone came to me then going to find someone to talk to and postpone doing it when I got myself to do it I wrote two or three then felt I need to go to the restroom then eat again
I asked myself why because I felt frustrated with myself but I answered with a lie which in turn an excuse and my excuse was I really was hungry, I don’t know but deep down I was afraid from writing which going to lead to execution which if I didn’t achieve I would feel bad about myself and start self-loathing but even if I didn’t I would be mad at myself because I didn’t write my goals and plan.
I found out that every excuse is a way for me to escape what am I escaping from. I tried to figure out what am I escaping from and what I find is that I am escaping reality, escaping fear, escaping pain, escaping failure but deep down what was hurting is the pain of not working and doing the things I want to do and living the life I dream of a life of freedom in all levels and areas.
for all this time making excuse to escape it becomes a habit that suffocated my life for too long.
when I tried to get out of this cycle it wasn’t easy it kept happening and I get frustrated every time it happens. I started to learn about habits and watch motivational videos, interviews with successful people.
remember the fundamental thing is to keep doing even if you don’t get results right away because it takes practice to break a bad habit and build a new one and do it continuously even if you don’t see results right away all would be worth it when you start accomplishing more and creating your dream life.
excuses will not be gone completely I still get but the more you follow with action on what you want without listening to the voice that comes up with it the more your action becomes stronger and that voice gets quieter and abandoned.
Remember that life reward continuous effort
