How To Get Back On Track?
how to get moving on your path after you have been swayed, stopped, took a turn?
Life happens and that one reason why going off track happens. the other reason is which is so true for me is that I have been sabotaging myself
by going off track many times without realizing it at the moment it occurred but after.
This has been a constant occurring for me this past six months. going on and off track by doing busy work(not important but it requires doing something not just sitting around) or procrastinate by learning more. it’s not like I stop working but I work on the non-improtant tasks
I get into making the schedule and plan then start to move and before I know it I already doing off track.
I don’t stop completely and has been like this and didn’t even catch it until I already went with it.
The reason I have been doing is fear and doubt of my ability to do what I have to do next in order to achieve my goal which is creating an income generating business and growing this blog /personal brand.
I know that can learn what I lack and figure out things as I go if I don’t know but that doesn’t mean it’s a smooth ride.
In fact, it’s a very zig-zag ride. I move forward a little then it starts again. The pain I feel from staying the same is big but familiarity and my brain freaking out wanting me to stay where I am are big.
Our brain is trying to keep us safe by staying where we are.
also, it is conserving energy by doing so. in order to do a new thing we must adopt new beliefs that we didn’t have before or didn’t ingrain in our subconscious
If you are taking a step forward and feeling so excited at the moment but then the next moment you feel fear and doubt and you’re doing stuff that is useless
(busywork that seems important but it can be postponed or delegate like redesign your website and ignoring and running from the scary one like putting yourself out there) which lead us to stay where we are
or add to your life to push you if you fall off track, you may still stumble but not for long that’s what is going on with me and if you can relate to what I said(wrote above :p) earlier then this may help you
Then I have a few tips that can help you move forward. but I won’t guarantee that if you do them you’ll move through with the speed of light; rather it’ll be something to incorporate whenever you feel like that/catch yourself off the path
let’s get to business …

Ways to Get Back On Track
1- Get back to a routine or Having a simple routine to get back to:
one of the very first things I neglect when is tart feel off is my morning and night routines.
so, to start getting back into action I get back into them. it gives me a sense of structure, normality, direction and it includes most of my personal development work.
you can have a specific routine but i prefer being simple.
2- Join a group of people who are going through what you are going through
by joining a membership (i am in perfectionists getting shit done by Sam at samLarabrown.com), Facebook groups
Being in a group like this push me.
it gives me a sense of normality (i am not the only one who is going through all these different thoughts of fear and doubts …)
and encourages me to move forward seeing everyone working on their goals
3- Journaling about my fears and doubts: each time or as much you can that’s how I do it. It’s so helpful to see them on paper and question them.
quite often if not always they’re behind being off track
4- Journaling about my feelings and thoughts at the moment:
it’s not always only fear and doubts but it maybe something else. getting those thoughts will help brings me clarity and a new sense of freshness.
5- Having someone you can relate to and to their story in your life: you look up to, they are where you want to be right now. this includes real life(but I doubted if you are like me) or online.
I follow her and listen to what she says and take encouragement from her.
She gives me the kick to move when I listen to her. inspiration to take action, new ideas to try, educate me, show me it’s possible.
6- Adopting a growth mindset: stop feeling behind/off track because why are you behind? is it because x person reached/have this or that and you are not.
we can choose to stop this feeling and choose to adopt a thought that is okay to take our own pace we’ll reach the distention when it right for us.
make it feel okay to not be there yet or done that task, project yet. not dwell on guilt because will not help you get back.
start to feel proud of whatever you have done so far even if it’s only baying the domain and writing your first blog post.
7- Taking small but postponed action(important) to gain momentum :
this action must be important to move forward toward the goal, milestone…etc
examples: writing an offer for a new product launch, sending emails to reach people, post the video, create the 1st module of a course,
let’s create our wildest dreams
