How do i stay productive and how do I stay organized
4 tips on how to stay productive (how do i stay productive)
1-the winning list (track your wins)
It’s a simple list where i write my wins each day.
These wins can be the tasks i got done, mental breakthrough, anything I did to help me be who I want to be
It’s not limited to these; you can be creative as you want.
you can count anything you think is a win for you, but keeping it simple is better
The benefits I got are
1-feeling accomplished
2-feeling good about my effort
4-learning that i can do things, I’m not a loser, lazy ie, creating evidence
When it’s on your calendar or to-do list, they can easily blend and be buried, and you forget that you worked really well.
especially helpful to someone who used to be lazy,
drifting through life without knowing what to do, who never feels that they do enough.
You can start by writing it in a physical notebook, or digitally in a doc
Here is a link to a template I created on Notion to track your wins
2-energy timing (mapping and matching the time of day you do focused and mentally taxing work to your energy)
The usual way to do it is by keeping track of what you do each day, when you do it,
and how you feel when you do each thing you do, throughout your day, for a week or 3 days,
Then, determining your best time to work and be focused, what times you can do mindless tasks, and when to rest
Personally, i know when I’m energized and not without the need for keeping a log,
So I choose the morning, early afternoon, around 6-8 pm to do tasks that require focus, mental power
In between, i do less mentally taxing tasks related to the house, workout, or work, like sorting things, prepping…etc
But, I’m not always following it, i fall and get back up
(only sharing this to show no one is perfect, but the important thing is to do it consistently to reap the benefits)
Being aware of the time you can focus and perform mentally taxing work like content creation is important to know; therefore, do them
Keep it in mind as you plan, time block or otherwise, so you can make progress toward your work
3-Progress Tracking
It’s essential to track your progress toward your goals consistently
The benefits are
1-how far you’ve gone,
2-gives a sense of accomplishment,
3-you have a solid way to know what you did and did not
Here is how i do my progress tracking:
1-I do many of my tracking directly on each month’s plan page on my yearly planner notebook,
Besides each goal, I track things like the number of posts I posted, the number of photos I took..etc i do it each time I do any of these tasks
2-Habit trackers are the best thing to build habits and keep track of them until they become part of you
Alternative way: (not yet tried it myself)
Creating a database on Notion or Google Sheet, where you put your goals, then divide it into milestones, then small tasks, which then become your measurement.
4-the 5-minute jumpstart rule
Fast start and short time spent on a task, aimed for difficult tasks to give you momentum, or just help you get your foot in the door
I found it helpful in starting a daunting, hard task that I feel resistant to doing
Here is the rundown on how i deal with resistant tasks:
First, I write the task down to release the resistance, but if I still need help, then
Second, do a 5-minute version of the task, or just do it for 5 minutes only
It’s a good method to try here and there, and to add to your arsenal after you experiment with its effectiveness for you
Because it doesn’t always help, sometimes you need to do something else, then get back to the task.
The best remedy from my experience to resistance is becoming aware that you are resisting,
then understanding why, after that, solving the reason(s), instead of trying to trick yourself or force yourself

3 tips on how to stay organised (how do I stay organized)
1-Weekly and monthly reset
I do my weekly reset on Sundays and Saturdays to prepare for the upcoming week.
And at the end of every month, to prepare for the next one
let’s start with how I do my weekly reset:
I divide the work into 2 days
On Saturday, I clean what i planned to that week, vacuum, tidy up my space, and grocery shop
On Sunday, I review my goals and review the week.
Then plan the new week, workout, outfits, house admin, content creation, work..etc, everything i need
I want to start tidying up and cleaning my email and digital space, but I’m not there yet
The benefits are
1-Having clarity on what to do,
2-ditching the guesswork and wasting your mental energy daily on deciding what to do
The week will be organized, and your mind will be free from trying to remember what you need to do
I have 2 posts on Sunday reset and weekly review and planning that I do in detail,
that you can take a look at if you want to learn what i do in detail
For the monthly reset, I do a monthly review and planning. Here is the exact process
2-Checklists and Templates for Recurring Tasks
This is still work in progress for me, i have a list for housework, blog posts process, and social media creation
I simply opened a Google Doc and created a list of all the tasks I need to get done for each blog post regularly, then followed it
Now, i want to create a Notion template for it.
I already started with the cleaning and tidying template,
which is a simple table and checklists of things i need to do monthly, weekly, and daily
Also, i have a weekly template for content creation for X with a guide on how to come up with ideas.
So, i don’t get flustered by what to create
The biggest benefit is that you don’t need to think of what to do every time.
That will give peace of mind
Because everything has been accounted for and broken down, all you need to do is assign a date and time
You can do it by using basic tools like Google Docs, Google Tasks, or a regular pen and paper
And you can go fancier and look for templates on Notion and adapt them to your needs, or create your own
3-switching to digital note-taking and having it all in one place
Having different notes taken physically can be overwhelming and chaotic.
It is hard to find things in a physical notebook, so I switched to digital.
Now, i only take notes digitally, i have a Google folder for all of my different notes.
which i can categorize further based on the interest that i take notes on in different folders inside the main one
The benefits are:
1- makes it easy to search and find things i am looking for,
2-make things organized and not chaotic and overwhelming, and
i want to switch to Notion, but I am taking my time switching many of my systems there while i learn how to use it better

Conclusion
In summary, being and staying productive and organised is about building small habits, making small changes,
and creating simple systems that all build on each other.
that when combined, will improve your likelihood of getting things done consistently.
What simple and easy thing(s) you do and have as part of life that would help you stay organised and productive? Comment you answer
