How To Develop Self Compassion : a simple guide
how to develop self-compassion and practice it the easy way
self-compassion…
Is treating yourself with kindness, and care and accepting the painful moment, accepting your humanity, accepting the fail, the mistake, the hardship you are facing, the losses, the frustration, and the negative thoughts that come to your mind. those are all part of our human experience.
we are all as a race face difficulty, adversity, and hardship in our lives no matter what we learn and try being positive. your job isn’t to eliminate those instead is to accept them and let them pass through as you go on through life and channel your energy and focus toward what moves you forward.
“self-compassion is to remember to be easy on yourself when hard, bad and difficult things happen in your life.”
I started applying
when I don’t get something done as I planned to, failed “failing it’s just learning” at being consistent with my workout, I didn’t do something scary for me when I feel and act negatively toward others and myself and other situations like these.
what I found is by being compassionate with myself
I become less hard on myself when I don’t do something right or do not do it at all. I become able to move faster and get back up to doing what I want to do.
I don’t waste time feeling guilty, sad or frustrated as I used to.
It helped me accept my mistakes and forgive myself for being negative sometimes because feeling bad about feeling any negative emotions or thoughts
Will leave you in an ending circle of self-pity, self-sabotage, and self-criticizing which will stop you from moving.
I become more compassionate with myself but that doesn’t mean I become complacent, satisfied by a lack of work on my part, or lack of true effort.
…
But to take it easy on me and learn from the situation at hand; reflect and learn how to do better and what to do when the same thing occurs again because in every situation there’s a thing I can control.
Sometimes, yes, there are things you can’t control but we have ourselves to control.
Also, remember there are other factors that play a role when you are being negative or self-critical like your thoughts, beliefs and the energy around you

Why you must develop self-compassion
Because it improves the quality of your life, you’ll have less anxiety, depression, shame and fear of failure.
It helps you move forward, reduce the time you spend dwelling and eliminate or lessen the spiral of self-pity, self-criticism and comparing yourself to others.
in doing those three you will hinder your life experience and stop you from moving forward toward your dreams, goals, and vision.
how to develop self-compassion
1- don’t judge yourself
Instead, practice self-praise. praise yourself for what you did big or small, for putting in the effort even if you didn’t get the results or achieved the outcome the important thing is that you worked toward it and gave it your best at the moment.
2- don’t overidentify with a mistake or failure.
because those don’t mean anything to you unless you create a story that means you’re a failure
3-accept the other side of life
because it’s part of the human experience. life has its upsides and downsides. it is both black,
4-all human suffers you are not unique or what happened to you is.
Keep this in mind as you face challenges and pain then remind yourself as a way to not let yourself fall into victimhood
5-set your intention to be compassionate to yourself.
Write down that you will be compassionate with yourself like you would for another human being.
6-self-awareness will help you act compassionately toward yourself.
You’ll notice when you start being negative, and harsh to yourself and when you become aware of yourself doing that then you can stop yourself. and direct your attention to the other side of the story and move forward.
7- be gentle
8- use the negative reaction as a reminder
To be compassionate to yourself. when you become aware just flip your thoughts and what can I learn here, what can I do to change my reaction, and how can I make it better?
9- practice gratitude.
That’s will redirect your thinking away from your shortcomings and yourself to the world and its never-ending blesses.
10-forgive yourself
When you make a mistake, fail, don’t follow through, something hard or bad happened and so on. don’t punish or beat yourself up. accept that you’re imperfect and you make mistakes. Writing down or saying it out loud is the best way I found to release it.
