If you have been taking action but feel you didn’t accomplish anything?
you want to refresh your life?
If you want to realign your life and goals from the beginning of the year?
Or you have been going through your journey of life and didn’t have a minute to breathe, this is your sign and way to do it.
June or July is the best time to do a mid-year reset and reflection.
Take stock of what you accomplished and what you didn’t, where you at in your life,
Organize your life, and set yourself right for the next 6 months.
In this post, I will share the process to do a mid-year reset and reflection, the easy way
What you’ll learn:
- -why is it important to do a mid year review and reset
- -how to do the mid year reset and reflection to realign your life
- that include: journal prompts and action steps

Why mid-year check-in is important
It helps you…
1-reassess your life and goals so you can build a good picture of what you have done
and what you will do for the next 6 months,
2-Realign your life, goals, and habits to what you really want and get back to
your goals from the beginning of the year if they are still relevant.
3-Reset your goals, habits, and environment to reflect your wants and needs now,
because as humans we tend to slip up, get busy, and forget the big picture as we go on the day-to-day
4-Get the Refresh feeling you get after doing it, and the shift in your vibes is
something always welcomed and desirable to add novelty and fun into your life
5-Reintroduce fun back into your life if you’ve forgotten it
How to do a mid-year reflection (assessment)
Here, you look at your goals and areas of your life and assess them so you can reset them later
Better do it with a pen and a notebook, following the prompts
Mid year journal prompts
1-How do i feel about how the past 6 months went? why?
2-What have I actually achieved or progressed in, goals and habits-wise?
3-Which goal didn’t get anywhere?
4-What was in my way? What obstacles arose that contributed to the results?
5-Was i aligned with who i wanted to be? Why and why not?
6-How did i do in each area of my life that is important to me? Which shined? Which took a back seat? And why?

Mid year reset
To keep it simple, let’s divide it into 5 areas
1-decluttering and resting of the physical environment
How to do it simply:
Don’t let your mind think you need to do it for the whole house or a whole room; you just need to choose one
place, like your closet, desk, specific drawer(s)…etc, that you know it needs it
Or go by room, declutter what needs that, and clean each as a whole
Choose the easiest for you, for me, I’m going to choose 2 places I know need decluttering, resetting, and
general cleaning, which is my prob photography corner and vanity
2-digital environment reset
The same can be implemented here
Think about which part of your digital space needs decluttering and cleaning. If you have many and you
can’t do it, then just choose one or more as you see fit for you.
i would recommend choosing if you have many places instead of doing them all,
while keeping a list that
You can work through it later. Choose the one that has been weighing on your mind or is overdue
Here is what I am doing:
Organize notion, delete junk emails, unsubscribe from newsletters i don’t want anymore,
Or the ones i don’t remember signing up for, organize files, and make a backup of them on the hard disk
3-life reset
1-Decide the important areas to you and areas you have been meaning to get to
But not yet, and want to focus on it in the next 6 months
Wellness, self-care, hobbies, finances, health, religion, etc
2-then think of what goals, habits, or activities you want to set in them? How can you make it easy to do?
If you have goals or habits already in them.
Then, think about what will keep and let go of them? Then reset the new ones you want
4-goals reset
After you’ve done the reflection, now is the time to set new ones
Here are the steps in question format
1-Look at the goals you set at the beginning of the year,
which ones do you want to keep, and which ones do you want to forfeit? why?
2-What new goals do you want to set instead? What do you want to achieve?
3-Who is the version of you that achieves these goals? Define it, then act as if daily
4-What habits can you adopt that will make pursuing your goals and the upcoming 6 months easy?
5-How do you feel about your plan? Adjust if you need to,
don’t feel pressured to do and have more goals just because it’s the norm, do what’s best for you
5-enjoyment reset
Joy can take the back seat for many of us when life gets busy
or just immersed in the day-to-day, and we end up forgetting to feel joy.
Our days blend together, and nothing feels exciting or fun.
Things feel boring, you feel apathetic, or worse
That’s why it’s important to intentionally
Set joy goals, habits, or activities so you don’t forget about them
You can go big or small. For that, ask yourself:
What habits, goals, or activities can you adopt to make the next 6 months filled with joy, fun, and excitement?
I would like to focus on having a habit that sparks joy for me, which is reading daily
And plan activities throughout the week or month that spark joy for me.

In summary,
The mid year reset and reflection is all about realignment with what you set at the beginning of the year,
making changes to whatever isn’t aligned, feeling refreshed, lighter,
and focused on what you really care about. Thus, have the good vibes
Here are the steps for the mid year reset and reflection in short:
- Review my goals for each area
- Decide what to leave and what to let go of
- Decide which to do for the next 90 days
- Plan the enjoyment part
- clean and organize a small part of the house/room
Comment, how were your past 6 months? Have you done your mid year review and reset yet?
You’ve read mid year reset and reflection to realign your life
Wishing you the best

I loved this post! It reminded me how important it is to take time for myself and how important time management is. Time management is very important to me, because I have a hard time completing tasks in the same time frame as my peers. Thats has always been an issues for me, so I I always have to really plan out my tasks. Thankyou for sharing this post.

I usually do a reflection at the end of the year, but doing one at this point is a really good idea. It helps to figure out what is going well, what needs work, and what needs to change. Thanks for this!
